Location: Exeter, NH
FLSA Status: Full-time (40 hours), Exempt, Salaried

Organization Summary

Girls on the Run (GOTR) New Hampshire is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. As part of a network of Girls on the Run councils across the US and Canada, we implement a proven afterschool program across all ten counties in New Hampshire. We anticipate serving a total of 2,600 girls in 2024 and have ambitious goals for 2025. The Program Director will join our current small team of five staff members as we work to benefit NH girls through our mission-driven nonprofit.

GOTR New Hampshire is dedicated to being an inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible organization. We strive to create programming that engages all communities, to be intentional about staff and volunteer diversity, and to promote a culture of inclusion across the organization.

The Program Director must possess a passion for and commitment to improving the lives and opportunities of girls in third through eighth grades. The Girls on the Run program provides a safe and interactive way to learn about healthy living which includes an introduction and education on important topics such as goal setting, cooperation, healthy decision-making, and self-respect, all while training for a non-competitive 5K event. The innovative curriculum teaches girls to listen and open up while also encouraging them to commit to a healthy lifestyle and harness the inner strengths that they possess. Our important mission is accomplished by giving girls the tools to make positive choices for a healthy body and mind, while reducing the many risks they face today. Girls on the Run New Hampshire is a 501(c)(3) organization and currently serves the entire state’s ten counties.
